Are you Experiencing Flickering Issues on your Roku?

We are sorry to hear about your viewing issues and hope to be able to provide a temporary fix for you. This is a known issue that is affecting a handful of people and we have been working on a resolution with Roku directly. We have developed a ROKU Beta Channel that decreases the "flickering" but unfortunately does not eliminate it. We will continue to work with ROKU to resolve the issue completely.

This new version of the CuriosityStream Beta Channel, should improve the flickering on older Roku models such as Rokul1, 2, 2XS, 2HD and LT. Please follow the below steps to add the CSBETA app to your ROKU if not already added:

  1. https://my.roku.com/add/CSBETA
  2. If you are not logged into you ROKU account online, it will ask you to log.
  3. Once logged in it will ask you to confirm that you want to add the CSBETA app (this will be version 1.1.2)
  4. You are now able to watch on your ROKU device under the BETA channel icon on your ROKU (verify version is 1.1.2)

There may still be some flickering on the menu screens, but you should see an improvement in quality and decrease in flickering. Again, this is a known issue that is affecting a handful or people and we are currently working on this with Roku, as it appears to be a firmware update issue.

Please let us know if we can assist in any way. We thank you for your patience and apologize for the inconvenience.
