One of the most common causes of problems while trying to watch our library is weak or intermittent Internet connectivity. Frequent rebuffering or loading, problems starting the CuriosityStream application, error messages stating "Cannot Connect to the Internet" or trouble starting playback of a documentary or series episode when you're trying to stream on your device generally indicates a slow or interrupted Internet connection.

You may be experiencing an Internet connectivity problem that is keeping you from streaming. These error messages sometimes are accompanied by an error code beginning with UI, AIP, or NW. To resolve this error, try the steps below.
- Are you using a public, cellular, or satellite Internet connection?
- Are you trying to use our mobile apps?
- Are you trying to watch via Apple TV?
If the steps above do not resolve your issue, you may be on a plan that does not match up with the recommended broadband connection speed for streaming videos.
- 0.5 Megabits per second - Required broadband connection speed
- 1.5 Megabits per second - Recommended broadband connection speed
- 3.0 Megabits per second - Recommended for SD quality
- 5.0 Megabits per second - Recommended for HD quality
- 25 Megabits per second - Recommended for Ultra HD or 4K quality
